WA child safeguarding professionals
Bringing local knowledge, child safeguarding expertise and a commitment to
child safety across Western Australia
Our team
AKT Advisory is a team of three child safeguarding advisors with extensive experience supporting organisations across Western Australia. Our combined expertise brings local insights and a strong focus on practical safeguarding outcomes.
Alexa Wilkins - Director
Alexa brings over a decade of experience in child wellbeing and safeguarding across Western Australian government. Her background includes roles with the WA Commissioner for Children and Young People, leading policy development and stakeholder engagement to deliver on recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and establishing and working within the WA Government’s Child Safeguarding Implementation Unit to support organisations to become child safe.
With extensive experience consulting directly with children and young people, Alexa brings a strong child centred perspective to her work that ensures children’s voices are prioritised in decision-making.
Through AKT Advisory, Alexa draws on her experience supporting WA organisations to strengthen child safeguarding practice, informed by local knowledge, understanding of WA child safety legislation and insight into what effective, child‑centred safeguarding looks like in practice.
Kait McNamara - Director
